Advanced First Aider's wanted for FACS

Job Description: Looking for a great place to work? Want to be part of a great team and make some money too? First Aid/Craft service is the department in film, television and video production which provides cast and crew with snacks, drinks and other assistance. Craft service is different from catering; craft service refers to the food always available to the crew while they are working, while catering is provided by a catering company or a restaurant and handles full meals.[2] Typically there is one main table where the snacks and coffee are set up (which is simply called "crafty" or "the crafty table"). Occasionally there are two craft service stations, with one being for cast and crew and another for non-union background actors. A "satellite" crafty may be set up next to the camera, as they may not be able to leave their workstations. In addition to snacks and drinks. Aside from snacks and beverages, craft service may also supply bandages, gum, antacids, toothpicks, hand sanitizer, sunscreen, and hand-warmers. We are looking for a dynamic and energetic professional who can work long hours, have a great attitude and no afraid to get down and dirty. 1ST ASSISTANT FACS Description: The 1st Assistant FACS must possess a current certificate from a Safe Food Handling Program. He/She must also possess a current Advanced First Aid Certificate (AFA) He/She shall maintain an accurate Accident Report Book and possess an adequate supply of Employers Report of Injury and Workers Report of Injury Forms for the reporting of accidents (per W.C.B. procedure and guidelines). The 1st Assistant FACS shall perform those work functions as delegated by the Key FACS. Responsible for sandwich making, shopping , cleaning and Stocking. Qualifications: 5 years or more in the food and hospitality industry an asset. Strong track record for being on time and ready to work. Demonstrated knowledge of organization, cleanliness, and great with taking direction. Must have car and license. Trailer driving experience an asset. Candidate must be a great communicator, facilitator and leadership skills.
