Red Cross - Emergency First Aid with Health Care Provider CPR/AED

Basic one-day (8 hours) course offering an overview of first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for Health Care Providers. Includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines. Meets OHS regulations for Basic First Aid. Exceeds competitors’ standards by including injury prevention content, CPR and AED skills.

  • The Emergency Medical Services System
  • Check, Call, Care
  • Airway Emergencies
  • Breathing and Circulation Emergencies
  • Respiratory and Cardiac Arrest (including CPR HCP)
  • How to use an AED
  • Wound Care
  • Any other content required by specific legislation.

The following are the prerequisite that a student is required to have before being allowed into this course:

  • Must be entering industry or are currently employed as a Health Care Provider.


Our Instructors are front-line professionals who tailor teaching based on participants’ learning styles and training needs. Dynamic teaching techniques: skills demonstrations, practice sessions, scenarios based on real-life situations, discussions, and exercises. Hands-on training using real materials: mannequins for practising CPR, AED trainers, bandages and splinting materials, auto-injector trainers, inhalers, and additional aids.

Upon successful completion of this program you will have earned the following tickets:

  • Emergency First Aid with CPR Level C valid for 3 years
  • Please note, that this certification can not be recertified, therefore to maintain this program for AB workplaces, you will be required to attend the full course again.
