Standard First Aid with CPR C/AED online/class - Recertification

All candidates must have a current Standard First Aid with CPR level C card to attend this course.

This re-certification for the Standard First Aid program is following the blended learning delivery method. It is comprised of online study and in class session offering first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for those who need re-training for work requirements or who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies at home. Includes CPR Level C/AED.

  • The Red Cross
  • Preparing to Respond
  • The Emergency Medical Services System
  • Check, Call, Care
  • Airway Emergencies
  • Breathing and Circulation Emergencies
  • Respiratory and Cardiac Arrest (including CPR A, C, or HCP)
  • Wound Care
  • Head and Spine Injuries
  • Bone, Muscle, and Joint Injuries
  • Sudden Medical Emergencies
  • Environmental Emergencies
  • Poisons


Approx 4 hrs online/ 4 hours in class


The following are the prerequisite that a student is required to have before being allowed into this course:

  • Current workplace approved Standard First Aid Certificate. Expired cards will not be accepted.


Course refreshes a variety of topics from basic (circulation and breathing emergencies, and prevention of disease transmission) to in-depth (sudden medical emergencies and injuries to the head and/or spine).

Upon successful completion of this program you will have earned the following tickets:

  • Standard First Aid certification - Approved by the Alberta Government for Workplace First Aid

Completion Criteria:
Ability to comprehend and successfully demonstrate the skills and pass a knowledge evaluation with a minimum mark of 75%
Participants must attend and participate in 100% of the course
