This program is designed for individuals who are wanting to teach the Red Cross First Responder 40 hr Program. This course will also include the instructor status for Basic Life Support CPR, Airway Management and Oxygen Therapy Instructor Level.

This is the Discipline Specific component in the Canadian Red Cross Instructor Development Pathway for individuals who would like to teach: First Responder (40 hr) Program. This First Responder Instructor also includes the Basic Life Support CPR, Airway Management and Oxygen Therapy Instructor Level.
Red Cross has set a class minimum of 4 confirmed candidates. All course materials will be available for pick up from our course location 7 days prior. If you'd like them shipped there will be an additional fee.
Each candidate at the completion of this componenent in the Instructor Development Pathway will be required to complete the online Teach Experience Program and complete a Teach Experience at the Basic Life Support level with a Teach Experience Supervisor. AHASTI does offer one scheduled date for this option at no charge. Any changes to this scheduled date after confirmation, maybe subject to additional fees.

To maintain certification once competed, each instructor will be required to teach a minimum of 3 Canadian Red Cross courses in 3 years with one being at the First Responder Level.
