Red Cross - Basic Life Support

Basic Life Support is an important step in the survival of a person who suffers a cardiac arrest incident. This course is designed for those that will work in a team response such as EMS, Fire, Nurses etc.

  • Perform a rapid assessment
  • Initiate the emergency response system
  • Perform BLS skills
  • Perform rapid defibrillation

BLS education helps individuals gain confidence in performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills and provides them with the important steps to work as a team.

This is the new Canadian Red Cross Program that will replace the existing Health Care Provider Program.
